Hardwood Flooring Installation
There's a reason hardwood is still the gold standard for resale value and everyday warmth; nothing else quite matches it. We install both engineered and solid hardwood across Durham Region, and we can supply the material too if you'd rather not shop around on your own.

Engineered vs. solid — which one's right for you?
Engineered hardwood holds up better against humidity and temperature swings, which makes it a safer choice for basements or homes with in-floor heating. Solid hardwood is the more traditional option and can be sanded and refinished multiple times over its life. If you're not sure which makes sense for your space, we'll talk it through with you on the estimate — no pressure either way.
What's included:
-
Removal of old flooring (if applicable)
-
Subfloor inspection and prep
-
Acclimation period for the wood (this matters more than people think — rushing it causes gaps and warping down the road)
-
Full installation, including cuts around vents, doorways, and transitions
-
Baseboard removal and reinstall if needed
A note on subfloors
Hardwood is less forgiving than vinyl or laminate when it comes to an uneven or damp subfloor. We always check this before quoting — it's the difference between a floor that looks great for 20 years and one that starts cupping or gapping within months.
